Kai Wagner (born 15 February 1997) is a German professional footballer who plays as a left-back for the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer. Club career SSV Ulm 1846 Ahead of the 2015–16 season, Wagner signed his first professional contract at 18 years old with SSV Ulm 1846 competing in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg, the fifth tier of German football. Wagner made 32 appearances and scored one goal, helping earn SSV Ulm the championship title and promotion to the fourth tier Regionalliga. The Philadelphia Union are an American professional soccer club based in Chester, Pennsylvania. The Union compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. Founded on February 28, 2008, the club began playing in 2010 as an expansion team. The CONCACAF Champions League, known officially as the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League for sponsorship reasons, is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONCACAF. The tournament is contested by clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
