Kahini (film)
''Kahini'' is a Bengali drama film directed by Malay Bhattacharya and produced by Chandramala Bhattacharya. This film was officially released in India on 17 October 1997 under the banner of Movie Mill. It received 43rd National Film Awards for the best debut film of a Director. Plot Rajat decides to kidnap a child. Before execute the plan a stranger gives him some documents and a half burnt photo of a child. Rajat, a painter and a taxi driver start their journey with the kidnapped child but get more and more entangled in complex situations. The physical condition of the child become worse. Dhritiman Chatterjee
Dhritiman Chatterjee is an Indian actor. He began his acting career in 1970 as the protagonist of Satyajit Ray's ''Pratidwandi'' (''The Adversary''). Most of his acting work has been in India's "parallel", or independent, cinema with filmmakers such as Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen and Aparna Sen, among others and is noted for his acting skills. He has also worked in English films with well-known filmmakers such as Deepa Mehta and Jane Campion. Early life Dhritiman is his screen name. He is otherwise known as Sundar Chatterjee and is quite active on the English stage in Chennai. Born on 30 May 1945, he was educated at Kolkata's St Xavier's Collegiate School and Presidency College, and the Delhi School of Economics. Robi Ghosh ( bn, রবি ঘোষ) (24 November 1931 – 4 February 1997) was an Indian actor known for his work in Bengali cinema. He is known for his comic appeal, though his versatile acting talent brought him success in various kinds of roles. He is probably one of the earliest character actors of Bengali cinema who focused mainly on method acting. Therefore, he was a regular member of Satyajit Ray films over the years. Till date, he is remembered for his comic roles in different movies. Robi Ghosh was a renowned actor in Bengali theatre and TV as well. He also played a character, Badridas, in the episode ''Amrit ki Maut'' in Byomkesh Bakshi (TV series), broadcast by Doordarshan. Early life Ghosh was born on 24 November 1931 in Kolkata.
