Kadu Kuttai is a small place in Vellalur, Coimbatore Coimbatore, also spelt as Koyamputhur (), sometimes shortened as Kovai (), is one of the major metropolitan cities in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located on the banks of the Noyyal River and surrounded by the Western Ghats. Coimbato .... Its name means "desert pond". It is said that there is a huge amount of gold buried here (" 7 Kopparai of gold; Kopparai is an iron vessel which holds around 100 liters of sugarcane juice and used for boiling the juice to get sugar). Vellalur Nadu (வெள்ளலூர் நாடு) is a Tamil cultural village located in Melur Taluk in Madurai District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Vellalur is 8.3 km from Melur, the Taluk main town; 32.1 km from Madurai East, the district's main city; 395 km from Chennai, the state's main city; and 18  km from Sivagangai.
