''Kadarmapee: Manja Nakada'' (English: ''Trick Master'') is a 2010 comedy Manipuri film directed by L. Prakash and produced by Kamala Saikhom under the banner of Saikhom Films. It stars Gokul Athokpam, Kamala Saikhom, Uttam Mayanglambam and Bala Hijam in the lead roles. The film was released at Bhagyachandra Open Air Theatre (BOAT), Imphal on 4 November 2010. It was also premiered at Bangalore, Koromangala (Game Village) NGV Club (Bowling Alley Hall) on 14 November 2010. Synopsis While escaping from police, Yaima hides in Tamphasana's room. He spends the night in the latter's place. When Yoimayai (Tamphasana's fiancé) discovers this, he tries to chase Yaima away. Nungthil Chaibi, who is tricked by Yoimayai, tries to trap him. Yaima also tries to trick Tamphasana and make her fall for him. Bala Hijam
Bala Hijam is an Indian actress, who predominantly appears in Manipuri films. Besides this, she has also acted in one Malayalam thriller road film, titled ''Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi''. She is recognized as one of the most successful actresses of Manipur. In 2022, she appeared in Hemanta Khuman's music video ''Taningle''. Manipuri Film
The Cinema of Manipur is the film industry based in Manipur, India. It includes not only Meitei language movies but all the films made in different languages of the different communities in Manipur. The Manipuri film industry was born when ''Matamgi Manipur'' was released on 9 April 1972. Before this, there were many attempts to make a film in the state, the most significant being ''Mainu Pemcha'' in 1948 which was left incomplete due to various problems. The tradition of documentary film making in Manipur was said to have been pioneered by the late Maharaj Kumar Priya Brata Singh who shot "actuality movies" with his 8 mm camera in 1936.
