''Kabisera'' ( en, The Seat) is a 2016 Filipino sociopolitical drama film starring Nora Aunor and Ricky Davao. The film is directed by Arturo San Agustin and Real Florido, and was produced under Silver Story Entertainment and Fire Starters Productions. The film was selected to be an official entry to the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival. Plot A Filipino family deals with hooded people who are involved in extra-judicial killings and other abuses in Philippine society. 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival
The 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is the 42nd edition of the annual Metro Manila Film Festival held in Metro Manila and throughout the Philippines. It is organized by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). This is the first time that the festival committee required producers to submit either picture lock versions or finished films, instead of screenplays in previous editions. During the festival, no foreign films are shown in Philippine theaters (except IMAX, 4D, and large format 3D theaters), however there are some non-MMFF entries like ''The Super Parental Guardians'', and ''Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers'' shown on SM Cinema branches. The festival began with the traditional ''Parada ng mga Artista'' (Parade of Stars) on December 23, 2016. The float parade started from Bonifacio Shrine to Plaza Miranda in Manila. John Carlo de Vera (born March 10, 1986), better known by his screen name JC de Vera, is a Filipino actor, host and model. Victor Luis Juan Hilado Neri (born February 19, 1976) is a Filipino people, Filipino actor, singer and chef. Personal life Neri is also a chef and owns a restaurant named ''Saute''. Domingo "Menggie" Cobarrubias (August 10, 1951 – March 26, 2020) was a Filipino actor who appeared in approximately 200 television shows and films. Cobarrubias received a Gawad Urian Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the 1979 film ''Jaguar''.
