Manuel Leuterio de Castro Jr. (; born July 6, 1949), professionally known as Noli de Castro, is a Filipino journalist, news anchor and politician who served as the 12th vice president of the Philippines from 2004 until 2010, under President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. He was elected to the Senate of the Philippines in 2001 after receiving the most votes of any senator in the 2001 election. De Castro is the anchor of radio programs '' Kabayan'' and ''TeleRadyo Balita'' on ABS-CBN TeleRadyo and was the original and long-running anchor of ''TV Patrol'' on ABS-CBN/Kapamilya Channel. Kabayan (radio Program)
''Kabayan'' (KApangyarihan ng mamamayan, BAlita at talakaYAN; ) is the longest-running radio program hosted by Noli de Castro that aired from 1986 to 2001, from 2010 to 2021 and from 2021 to present on DZMM and its television counterpart TeleRadyo. It is also simulcast on ABS-CBN and on Kapamilya Channel since 2020. History ''Kabayan'' (Kapangyarihan ng Mamamayan, Balita at Talakayan) premiered in late 1986 on DZMM-AM with Noli de Castro, coinciding with his move from late-afternoons to early mornings after ''DZMM Balita'' (renamed ''Radyo Patrol Balita''). ''TV Patrol'' is a Philippine television newscast produced by ABS-CBN News. It premiered on March 2, 1987, at the former ABS-CBN television network, replacing ''Balita Ngayon''. Katherine Chloe Sinsuat de Castro-Cruz, (born October 18, 1978) also known as Kat de Castro, is a Filipino journalist, and former television personality, who was formerly the Undersecretary of Tourism Advocacy and Public Affairs of the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) under Secretary Wanda Corazon Teo.
