Htun Wai ( my, ထွန်းဝေ, also spelt also Tun Wai; 23 October 1920–8 August 2005) is a three-time Myanmar Academy Award winning Burmese actor. Htun won his first Myanmar Academy Award in 1957 with the film ''Bo Mya Din'', achieved his second award in 1959 with the film ''Kagyi yae Ka'' and third award in 1983 with the film ''Tatiya arwale ei dutiya Waydanar'' . Myat Mon ( my, မြတ်မွန်, ; born 1942) is a Burmese actress who won the 1959 Academy Award in the film ''Ka Gyi Yay Ka''. Early life and career Myat Mon made her feature film debut when she was sixteen years old, taking on the leading role in ''Ka Gyi Yay Ka'' (1958) alongside Htun Wai. She experienced a rise in popularity and won the Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards in 1959. She appeared in ''Bae Pann Tha Loh Yin'', ''Wearing Velvet Slippers under a Golden Umbrella'', ''Shwe Pay Loh Ma Ya'' and ''Zar Khan Zi Nauk Kwe Hmar''. The Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards are presented annually to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Burmese Film Industry of Myanmar.
