KaBlam!
''KaBlam!'' (stylized as ''KaBLaM!'') is an American animated sketch comedy anthology television series that ran on Nickelodeon from October 11, 1996 to May 27, 2000, with repeats until November 2, 2001. The series was created by Robert Mittenthal, Will McRobb, and Chris Viscardi. The show was developed as a fully animated showcase for alternative forms of animation that were more common in indie films and commercials. Each episode thus features a collection of short films in different innovative styles of animation, bridged by the characters Henry and June, who introduce the short animations and have zany hijinks of their own in between. The show first premiered on Friday nights as part of "More Nick". A block that extended Nickelodeon programming to 8:30pm on prime time. The show was a critical and commercial success. Action League Now!
''Action League Now!'' (advertised as ''Action League Now!: The Series'' when packaged into a half-hour block) is a series of stop motion shorts that aired as part of both '' All That'' and '' KaBlam!'' on Nickelodeon. It was made using "chuckimation", a combination of stop-frame animation and live-action shots where things are simply thrown ("'' chucked''") or dropped into frame to simulate movement, and wiggled around to simulate talking. The series follows the adventures of a superhero league, composed of various action figures, toys, and dolls. The show was created by Robert Mittenthal, Will McRobb, and Albie Hecht. Most episodes took place in the house of an unseen resident. Many of the characters were voiced by radio personalities from Pittsburgh. Timothy Joseph Hill is an American director, screenwriter, producer, and voice actor. The Toasters
The Toasters are one of the original American Third wave ska, third wave of ska bands. Founded in New York City in 1981, the band has released nine studio albums, primarily through Moon Ska Records. History Englishman Robert Hingley relocated to New York City in 1980, where he managed that city's Forbidden Planet (bookstore), Forbidden Planet comic book store location. Hingley formed the Toasters in 1981 after seeing The Beat (British band), the Beat perform at the Roseland Ballroom. The group's first live show was supporting Bad Brains at A7 in 1981.
