KYCS
KYCS (95.1 FM) is a hot adult contemporary station broadcasting from Rock Springs, Wyoming. The station signed on in 1986, as the first sister station of KUGR, which had been broadcasting for ten years at the time. Like its sister stations, the station is currently owned by Wagonwheel Communications Corporation. Music on KYCS is primarily satellite fed, which is also true to its sister stations besides KUGR. The network, known as Today's Best Hits, hosts numerous DJs throughout the day, including a morning show. The network is part of Cumulus Media, formerly ABC Radio Networks. Wilkins Peak
Wilkins Peak is a small mountain located in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, between the cities of Green River and Rock Springs. It is primarily used for radio and television station transmitters, but it also serves radio needs of the FAA, EMS, and local businesses such as Questar Gas. In 2003, a tower on the peak was knocked down by a vehicle delivering propane to customers. The tower was owned by Wyoming Public Radio and was serving the local area with programming from National Public Radio. There are numerous access roads to the peak and it is not gated and open year-round, weather permitting. Along with the radio uses, the mountain is also a popular location for mountain biking and hiking. The mountain contains geology typical of its location in southwestern Wyoming. KUGR is an AM radio station located in Green River, Wyoming operating on 1490 kHz AM. It carries a soft adult contemporary and talk format. The station is owned by Wagonwheel Communications Corporation. KUGR won the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters board "Station of the Year" award in 2006. The station celebrated its 30th year of broadcasting in June 2006. KUGR signed on in 1976. KZWB (97.9 FM) is a radio station broadcasting from Green River, Wyoming. The station signed on June 1, 2005. KZWB is owned by Wagonwheel Communications Corporation, who also owns KUGR and KZWB's two sister stations KYCS and KFRZ. KZWB specializes in a classic hits music format that plays music from primarily the 1960s, and 1970s, but occasionally plays music from the 1980s. Today's Best Hits was an American radio network with a Hot Adult Contemporary format. It played many contemporary songs. It also featured many retro (1980s) hits, and on Saturday night, it played only requested retro songs. The network was previously known as Best Hits, Best Variety. Today's Best Hits was a property of Cumulus Media Networks (now Westwood One). "Retro Radio", the first nationwide radio broadcast devoted solely to music from the 1980s, was launched on Saturday nights in 1997. The show was created and hosted by Thom "Booray" Daniels until 2000. The Wind River Range (or "Winds" for short) is a mountain range of the Rocky Mountains in western Wyoming in the United States. The range runs roughly NW–SE for approximately . Evanston, Wyoming
Evanston is a city in and the county seat of Uinta County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 12,359 at the 2010 census. It is located near the border with Utah. History Evanston was named after James A. Evans, a civil engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad. Another source maintains it is named for John Evans, second Governor of the Territory of Colorado. The town was founded during the construction of the First transcontinental railroad. The railroad arrived in the area in November 1868, and Harvey Booth opened a saloon/restaurant in a tent near what is now Front Street.
