It is owned-and-operated station, owned and operated by NBCUniversal's Telemundo Station Group alongside Fort Worth, Texas, Fort Worth–licensed NBC outlet KXAS-TV (channel 5). Both stations share studios at the CentrePort Business Park in Fort Worth, while KXTX-TV's transmitter is located in Cedar Hill, Texas. History Early history The station first signed on the air on February 5, 1968, under the call sign KDTV.
