KVFX (94.5 FM), also known as ''VFX'', is a Top 40 (CHR) radio station broadcasting in the Logan- Salt Lake City- Ogden, Utah metropolitan area. It is owned by the Sun Valley Radio, Inc. KVNU (610 AM) is a broadcast radio station in the United States. Licensed to Logan, Utah, KVNU is owned by the Cache Valley Media Group and has a news/talk format serving the Logan metropolitan area. The station first signed on in 1938 and was owned by the family of Herschel Bullen until 1996. History The Cache Valley Broadcasting Company, led by S.L. Billings and other Salt Lake City entrepreneurs, founded KVNU in 1938, and the station first broadcast on November 20 that year. Logan is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The 2020 census recorded the population was 52,778. Logan is the county seat of Cache County and the principal city of the Logan metropolitan area, which includes Cache County and Franklin County, Idaho. HD Radio (HDR) is a trademark for an in-band on-channel (IBOC) digital radio broadcast technology. It generally simulcasts an existing analog radio station in digital format with less noise and with additional text information. HD Radio is used primarily by AM and FM radio stations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with a few implementations outside North America. The term "on channel" is a misnomer because the system actually broadcasts on the ordinarily unused channels adjacent to an existing radio station's allocation.
