KUUU
KUUU (92.5 FM, "92.5 The Beat") is a radio station licensed to South Jordan, Utah, serving the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. Owned by Broadway Media, the station primarily broadcasts a classic hip-hop format during the daytime hours, but transitions to a rhythmic contemporary-based playlist during the evening and overnight hours. The station's studios are located in Downtown Salt Lake City and its transmitter site is located southwest of the city on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains. KUUU broadcasts in HD Radio, carrying simulcasts of sister stations KYMV and KEGA on its HD2 and HD3 subchannels. In turn, KUUU is simulcast on the HD3 subchannel of sister station KUDD. History The station was launched on September 1, 1979, and adopted its callsign KTLE on September 10. On May 19, 1982, it was modified to KTLE-FM. On May 9, 1997, it was slightly changed to KTKL. KUDD (105.1 FM, "Mix 105.1") is an American radio station broadcasting a Top 40 (CHR) format serving Salt Lake City and surrounding areas, that's licensed to American Fork, Utah. This station is owned by Dell Loy Hansen, through Broadway Media LS, LLC. Its studios are in Downtown Salt Lake City and its transmitter site is located southwest of the city of Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains. KUDD has been granted a U.S. Federal Communications Commission construction permit to change the city of license to American Fork, Utah (from Roy, Utah), move to a new transmitter site, decrease ERP to 15,000 watts and increase HAAT to 1,243 meters. History The station signed on the air in December 1978 with the call letters KMXU. On January 9, 2004, the station changed its call sign to KNJQ. KYMV
KYMV (100.7 FM, "100.7 Bob FM") is an adult hits formatted radio station serving the Salt Lake Valley. The Broadway Media outlet broadcasts with an ERP of 88 kW and is currently licensed to Woodruff, Utah. They also use five on-channel boosters in the area to cover the metro due to its transmitter being based on Humpy Peak, located 50 miles east of Salt Lake City. The station's studios are located in Downtown Salt Lake City. History The station was first assigned its callsign KYBG on June 28, 2000 and was changed to KJQN on March 22, 2001, bringing back call letters historic to the Salt Lake-Ogden-Provo listening area.
