KTOK-AM
KTOK (1000 AM broadcasting, AM) is a commercial radio, commercial radio station in Oklahoma City and airs a talk radio radio format, format. It is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc., and licensed as iHM Licenses, LLC. The radio studio, studios and offices are in the 50 Penn Place Building on the northwest side of Oklahoma City. KTOK transmits 5,800 watts, using a directional antenna at all times, with a three to five-tower array. 50 Penn Place
50 Penn Place is an upscale mixed-use complex in the inner Northwest part of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The galleria-style shopping mall and tower is located at 1900 Northwest Expressway in the Penn Square trade area immediately at I-44 and Northwest Expressway, across from Penn Square Mall near the exclusive suburb of Nichols Hills. The complex consists of a 16-storey office tower, upscale retail shops on 3 levels , and a parking structure. Midland Oak Realty purchased the building from MBL Life Assurance for $15 million in 1997. The complex was later owned by a Dallas-based capital management company, which bought the building for $25.7 million in 2004, along with 25 tenants-in-common. A planned sale fell through in 2008. XEOY-AM is an AM radio station in Mexico City. It is a Class A clear-channel station broadcasting on 1000 kHz. XEOY carries newscasts and contemporary music in English from the 1980s to the present day. KNWN in Seattle, Washington, WMVP in Chicago, Illinois and XEOY-AM share Class A status of 1000 AM. WMVP (1000 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Chicago, Illinois, carrying a sports format. Owned by Good Karma Brands, the station serves the Chicago metro area as the market affiliate of ESPN Radio, the flagship station of the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Wolves (the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes) and is the home of local personalities David Kaplan, Tom Waddle and John Jurkovic. Tower Array
A tower array is an arrangement of multiple radio towers which are mast radiators in a phased array. They were originally developed as ground-based tracking radars. Tower arrays can consist of free-standing or guyed towers or a mix of them. Tower arrays are used to constitute a directional antenna of a mediumwave or longwave radio station. The number of towers in a tower array can vary. In many arrays all towers have the same height, but there are also arrays of towers of different height. The arrangement can vary.
