KSVT-LD (channel 14) is a low-power television station in Twin Falls, Idaho, United States, affiliated with Fox and MyNetworkTV. It is owned by Gray Television alongside dual CBS/ CW+ affiliate KMVT (channel 11). The two stations share studios on Blue Lakes Boulevard North/US 93 in Twin Falls; KSVT-LD's transmitter is located on Flat Top Butte in unincorporated Jerome County east of Jerome and US 93. In addition to its own digital signal, KSVT-LD is simulcast in standard definition on KMVT's third digital subchannel (11.3) from the same transmitter site. KMVT (channel 11) is a television station in Twin Falls, Idaho, United States, affiliated with CBS and The CW Plus. It is owned by Gray Television alongside low-power Fox/MyNetworkTV affiliate KSVT-LD (channel 14). It has been a CBS affiliate since sign-on; however, in its early years the station carried programs from ABC and NBC. During the late 1950s, the station was also briefly affiliated with the NTA Film Network. In 1957, Ogden, Utah businessman Abe Glasmann purchased the KLIX radio and TV stations and KUTV in Salt Lake City. KXTF (channel 35) is a religious television station in Twin Falls, Idaho, United States, owned and operated by Tri-State Christian Television (TCT). The station's transmitter is located on Flat Top Butte in unincorporated Jerome County east of Jerome and US 93. History The station originally signed on the air in January 1989 as KKVI, operating as a satellite station of Pocatello ABC affiliate KPVI; it also carried Fox as a secondary affiliation during the late evening hours. KIDA
KIDA, VHF analog channel 5, was an independent television station licensed to Sun Valley, Idaho, United States. Founded October 25, 2000, the station was owned by Turner Enterprises. History It carried programming from UPN at its sign-on; however, it had lost the affiliation to KTWT-LP by December 2004. Later, programming consisted primarily of infomercials. Neither Cox Communications in Sun Valley or Cable One in Twin Falls included KIDA in their line-ups. The WB Television Network (for Warner Bros., or the "Frog Network", for its former mascot, Michigan J. Frog) was an American television network launched on broadcast television on January 11, 1995, as a joint venture between the Warner Bros. Entertainment division of Time Warner and the Tribune Broadcasting subsidiary of the Tribune Company, with the former acting as controlling partner. An independent station is a type of television station broadcasting in the United States or Canada that is not affiliated with any broadcast television network; most commonly, these stations carry a mix of syndicated, brokered and in some cases, local programming to fill time periods when network programs typically would air. Stations that are affiliated with networks such as The CW, MyNetworkTV or to a lesser degree, even Fox, may be considered to be quasi-independent stations as these networks mainly provide programming during primetime, with limited to no network-supplied content in other time periods.
