Kerala People's Arts Club
Kerala People's Arts Club (KPAC) is a theatrical movement in Kayamkulam, Kerala, India. It was formed in the 1950s by a group of individuals having close ties with Communist Party of India in Kerala. KPAC was very influential in popularising the Communist movement in Kerala. In 1951, KPAC staged its first drama, ''Ente Makanaanu Sheri'' (My Son is Right). The songs of this play were written by Punaloor Balan. Its second drama Ningalenne Communistakki (You Made Me a Communist), first performed in 1952, became a path-breaking play in the history of Malayalam theatre. The play was penned by the renowned playwright Thoppil Bhasi, under the pseudonym Soman. Bhasi was underground when he wrote the play. The success of Ningalenne Communistakki made KPAC in the forefront of a powerful people's theatre movement in Kerala. ''Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho'' is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language comedy drama film written and directed by Sidhartha Siva. It is produced by Kunchacko Boban, who also stars in the title role Kochavva along with Master Rudraksh Sudheesh as Ayyappa Das; the film marks the return of Udaya Pictures, the first ever film production company in Malayalam cinema, after 30 years. The film was released during the festival of Onam, on 9 September 2016 and received a positive response from the audience. The film's title is inspired by Brazilian novelist Paulo Coelho, and a central theme used in this film is inspired from his novel, ''The Alchemist''. Krider Performing Arts Center (KPAC) is an auditorium in Paris, Henry County, Tennessee, United States. The building is attached to the Paris Elementary School, which frequently makes use of the auditorium. KPAC consists of a full stage with curtains, backstage/props room, green room, piano room, sound booth, catswalk, lobby with a ticket counter, and a large auditorium that can seat roughly 500-600 people. Uses Aside from the frequent use by the elementary school, the city also uses KPAC. Professionals and other traveling groups have graced the auditorium, usually drawing more crowds than locally sponsored programs, though both types' audience turn-outs don't always depend on the performer(s). University of the Pacific (Pacific or UOP) is a private Methodist-affiliated university with its main campus in Stockton, California, and graduate campuses in San Francisco and Sacramento. It claims to be California's first university, the first independent coeducational campus in California, and the first conservatory of music and first medical school on the West Coast. Pacific was chartered on July 10, 1851, in Santa Clara, California, under the name California Wesleyan College. The school moved to San Jose in 1871 and then to Stockton in 1923.
