KOWA Party (KP) is a political party in Nigeria. KOWA was registered as a political party by the Independent National Electoral Commission on July 16, 2009, by a group of Nigerian Civil Society activists, professionals and technocrats. The current National Chairman of the party is Mr. Saidu Bobboi. Independent National Electoral Commission
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was established in 1998 and is the electoral body which oversees elections in Nigeria. History Regulation and administration of elections The administration of democratic elections in Nigeria dates back to the period before Independence when the Electoral Commission of Nigeria(ECN) was inaugurated in 1958 to conduct the 1959 federal elections.
