KNDH is an American FM radio station licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to broadcast on 96.7 MHz serving Carbondale, Colorado. History KNDH debuted as KUUR "Your Radio", serving the Aspen area with its translators including 101.1 (Aspen, Snowmass) and 107.7 (Glenwood Springs). Your Radio described its programming format as cool contemporary music. The station was founded by Marcos A. Rodriguez and owned by his Colorado Radio Marketing, LLC. Licensed to Carbondale, Colorado, the station was the first radio station in that area with the ability to do digital broadcasting. KUUR became the first American radio station to broadcast its programs in Bethlehem when, in December 2012, it was involved in a special arrangement with Radio Mawwal 101.7 FM there, which saw the broadcast of a section of KUUR's Christmas programming on that station throughout the Christmas season. KVOQ (102.3 FM) is a public radio station licensed to Greenwood Village, Colorado, and serving the Denver metropolitan area. KVOQ broadcasts an Album Adult Alternative (AAA) radio format known as "Indie 102.3" under the ownership of Colorado Public Radio. It is listener supported and airs no commercials. On-air fundraisers are conducted several times each year. A 40-watt booster station, 102.3 KVOQ-FM3, is on the air in Boulder to help listeners there better receive the station. It is also simulcast on KNDH (96.7 FM) in Carbondale and its four dependent translators, which CPR acquired in 2021. In January 2022, Indie 102.3 began to simulcast in Colorado Springs on KEPC (89.7 FM). Aspen is a home rule municipality that is the county seat and the most populous municipality of Pitkin County, Colorado, United States. The city population was 7,004 at the 2020 United States Census. Aspen is in a remote area of the Rocky Mountains' Sawatch Range and Elk Mountains, along the Roaring Fork River at an elevation just below above sea level on the Western Slope, west of the Continental Divide. KUBE (1350 kHz) is an AM radio station broadcasting a sports format. Licensed to Pueblo, Colorado, United States, it serves the Colorado Springs area. The station is currently owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. and licensed as CC Licenses. History This station was authorized to Philip C. Lasky and J. H. Albert on October 27, 1927, as KGHF. It originally broadcast on 1430 kHz, sharing the frequency with KFXJ. It went on the air in January 1928 from the Congress Hotel. In 1964, KGHF became KKAM. KKAM would eventually become country KIDN and later return to its KGHF callsign.
