KMKF (101.5 FM) is a radio station licensed to Manhattan, Kansas, and serves the eastern portion of the Salina-Manhattan radio market. The station is currently owned by Manhattan Broadcasting Company. "K-Rock" airs a format of mainstream rock. Personalities include David G on the K-ROCK Morning Show, middays with Steve-OH, afternoons with Sloan and nights with Mitch Fortner. Sloan serves as the Program Director for the station. K-Rock also airs "The House of Hair with Dee Snider" on Sunday evenings. KACZ (96.3 FM, "Z 96.3") is a Top 40 (CHR) formatted radio station owned by Manhattan Broadcasting Company. The station is broadcast from Manhattan, Kansas, with an ERP of 12.5 kW with its COL as Riley, Kansas. Manhattan is a city and county seat of Riley County, Kansas, United States, although the city extends into Pottawatomie County. AM broadcasting is radio broadcasting using amplitude modulation (AM) transmissions. It was the first method developed for making audio radio transmissions, and is still used worldwide, primarily for medium wave (also known as "AM band") transmissions, but also on the longwave and shortwave radio bands.
