Košarkaški klub Žitko Basket ( sr-cyrl, Кошаркашки клуб Житко Баскет), commonly referred to as KK Žitko Basket, is a men's basketball club based in Belgrade, Serbia. They are currently competing in the Second Basketball League of Serbia. History The club got media attention in the mid-2010s due to the basketball development of Bogdan Bogdanović who played for their youth system before signed for Partizan in September 2010. Also, the club got attention in 2020 due to a similarity of their logo with one from the Golden State Warriors. The club logo has the Ada Bridge silhouette. In April 2021, the club won the First Regional League Central Division for the 2020–21 season and got promoted to the Second League of Serbia for the 2021–22 season. Second Basketball League Of Serbia
Second Men's League of Serbia ( sr-cyr, Друга мушка лига Србије, Druga muška liga Srbije), previously Basketball League of Serbia B, is the second-tier level men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). Rules Competition format The league, operated by the Basketball Federation of Serbia, has 14 teams. From the 2012–13 season, the top two teams in Second League goes to First League of Serbia. The teams positioned 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th in Second will be relegated to the 3td tier – First Men's Regional League. EuroBasket, also commonly referred to as the European Basketball Championship, is the main international basketball competition that is contested quadrennially, by the senior men's national teams that are governed by FIBA Europe, which is the European zone within the International Basketball Federation. Serbian Basketball League System
The Serbian basketball league system, or Serbian basketball league pyramid is a series of interconnected competitions for professional basketball clubs in Serbia. The system has a hierarchical format with a promotion and demotion system between competitions at different levels. Men There are currently five different competitions on the pyramid - the 1st tier Basketball League of Serbia, the 2nd tier Second Basketball League of Serbia, the 3rd tier First Regional League, the 4th tier Second Regional League, which comprises the lower level regional divisions. The 2021 Triglav osiguranje Radivoj Korać Cup was the 19th season of the Serbian men's national basketball cup tournament. The tournament was held in Novi Sad between 11–14 February 2021. All games will be played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Serbia. Partizan NIS was the three-time defending champion.
