The Basketball League of Serbia ( sr, Кошаркашка лига Србије, Košarkaška liga Srbije; abbr. КЛС or KLS), is a top-tier men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). Rules Competition format The league, operated by the Basketball Federation of Serbia, consists of two stages: the First League which has 16 teams and the SuperLeague which has 8 teams. Since the 2017–18 season, the top 8 teams in First League are promoted to Super League with five Serbian teams from the ABA League. Two lowest-placed teams, positioned 15th and 16th in the First League, are relegated to a lower-tier league – Second Basketball League of Serbia. The 2010–11 Basketball League of Serbia season was the 5th season of the Basketball League of Serbia, the highest professional basketball league in Serbia. Srđan Flajs
Srđan Flajs ( sr-cyr, Срђан Флајс; born 12 July 1975) is a Serbian basketball coach. Coaching career Flajs had started his coaching career with Beovuk 72 where he coached youth system, as well as the senior team. In 2003, he joined the Atlas coaching stuff. During 2006–07 season he was an assistant coach for Vojvodina Srbijagas. Flajs was a head coach for Superfund for two seasons. In his second season he managed to won the Serbian B League championship. Later, he was a part of a coaching stuff for Crvena zvezda, Lietuvos rytas ( Lithuania) and Mega Leks. Aleksandar Matović ( sr-cyr, Александар Матовић; born 3 January 1978) is a Serbian basketball coach who is currently an assistant coach for Partizan Belgrade of the Serbian KLS, the Adriatic League and the EuroLeague. Coaching career Matović started his coaching career as a youth coach for Borac Čačak and Partizan. Later, Matović was the head coach of Superfund.
