Košarkaški klub Radnički 1950 ( sr-cyr, Кошаркашки клуб Раднички 1950), commonly referred to as KK Radnički 1950, is a men's professional basketball club based in Kragujevac, Serbia. The club was founded in Smederevska Palanka in 2007 as KK Mladost Palanka, and was relocated to Kragujevac in 2014. The club currently plays in the Second Basketball League of Serbia. History Radnički 1950 The club has changed its name on 6 October 2014, following the disestablishment of Radnički Kragujevac in summer 2014. In its second season in the First Regional League, West Division Radnički 1950 won the League and got promoted to the Second League of Serbia for the 2016–17 season. In August 2018, Zoran Stevanović became the club's president. Following departure from Partizan, Nikola Lončar joined the club's staff. Second Basketball League Of Serbia
Second Men's League of Serbia ( sr-cyr, Друга мушка лига Србије, Druga muška liga Srbije), previously Basketball League of Serbia B, is the second-tier level men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). Rules Competition format The league, operated by the Basketball Federation of Serbia, has 14 teams. From the 2012–13 season, the top two teams in Second League goes to First League of Serbia. The teams positioned 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th in Second will be relegated to the 3td tier – First Men's Regional League. Nikola Lončar
Nikola Lončar (Serbian Cyrillic: Никола Лончар; born May 31, 1972) is a Serbian former professional basketball player. He also holds Spanish citizenship. Professional career Lončar started his career at Partizan, making his professional debut in 1989. With Partizan, he won the Euroleague in 1992. Lončar also played for Real Madrid, Cagiva Varese, PSG Racing, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Joventut Badalona, Zucchetti Montecatini, Breogán, Estudiantes and Armani Jeans Milano. National team career Lončar was a member of the Yugoslav national team at four major tournaments during the 1990s. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. Serbian Basketball League System
The Serbian basketball league system, or Serbian basketball league pyramid is a series of interconnected competitions for professional basketball clubs in Serbia. The system has a hierarchical format with a promotion and demotion system between competitions at different levels. Men There are currently five different competitions on the pyramid - the 1st tier Basketball League of Serbia, the 2nd tier Second Basketball League of Serbia, the 3rd tier First Regional League, the 4th tier Second Regional League, which comprises the lower level regional divisions. The Radivoj Korać Cup ( sr, Куп Радивоја Кораћа / Kup Radivoja Koraća) is the men's national basketball cup of Serbia. It is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia and is named after a Serbian basketball legend and FIBA Hall of Fame and Basketball Hall of Fame member Radivoj Korać. Zoran Cvetanović (basketball)
Zoran Cvetanović ( sr-cyr, Зоран Цветановић, born June 13, 1958) is a Serbian professional basketball coach. Coaching career Cvetanović began his coaching career with the Radnički women's team in Kragujevac. In 1993, he became the coach for youth teams. In 1996 he moved to senior squad as the head coach. He also had two stints with men's teams from Kragujevac – Zastava and Radnički 034 Group. Cvetanović spent a part of his coaching career working abroad. He had two stints in Montenegro with Ibon Nikšić and Herceg Novi-based Primorje. In 2011, he was named as a head coach for Ryazan of the Russian Super League 1. Ivica Vukotić ( sr-cyr, Ивица Вукотић; born 6 January 1977) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player. Professional career A point guard, Vukotić played for Zastava, Mogren Budva, Kumanovo, TuS Jena, Igokea, Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje, Dunav 2007 Ruse, AMAK SP Ohrid, Spars Sarajevo, Plana, and Stragari.
