They are currently competing in the Second Basketball League of Serbia. History The club won the First Regional League – East Division in the 2020–21 season and get qualified to the Second League of Serbia for the 2021–22 season. Second Men's League of Serbia ( sr-cyr, Друга мушка лига Србије, Druga muška liga Srbije), previously Basketball League of Serbia B, is the second-tier level men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). Rules Competition format The league, operated by the Basketball Federation of Serbia, has 14 teams. From the 2012–13 season, the top two teams in Second League goes to First League of Serbia. The teams positioned 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th in Second will be relegated to the 3td tier – First Men's Regional League. Surdulica ( sr-cyr, Сурдулица) is a town and municipality located in the Pčinja District of southern Serbia. As of 2011, the population of the town is 11,400, while the municipality has 20,319 inhabitants. History Historically, the town by its modern name was first mentioned in texts from 1530 by Benedict Kuripešić. Following the revolutions of Serbia and the last Turks out of the town in 1877, it soon started to grow and develop in the hands of the independent nation of Serbia. The 2021–22 Second Men's League of Serbia is the 16th season of the Second Basketball League of Serbia, the 2nd-tier men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Teams A total of 16 teams participated in the 2021–22 Second Men's League of Serbia, divided into two geographical groups with 8 clubs. Ivan Saičić ( sr-cyr, Иван Саичић; born 8 February 1993) is a Serbian professional basketball player for Radnik Surdulica of the Second Basketball League of Serbia. College career Saičić played his freshman season of college basketball at the Winthrop University, in their 2013–14 season. As a sophomore and junior, Saičić played for University of West Georgia from 2015 to 2017. Saičić played his senior season at the Oklahoma City University, in their 2017–18 season. Professional career Saičić played for Crvena zvezda and Vršac prior he moved to the United States in 2013 to pursuit with college basketball. The Serbian basketball league system, or Serbian basketball league pyramid is a series of interconnected competitions for professional basketball clubs in Serbia. The system has a hierarchical format with a promotion and demotion system between competitions at different levels. FK Radnik Surdulica () is a professional football club based in Surdulica, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian SuperLiga, the top tier of the national league system. History The club was founded as Surdulički sportski klub (SSK) in 1926 on the initiative of Gradimir Antić, a local shoemaker, who brought the first football ball to Surdulica. They stopped operating with the onset of World War II and Axis occupation of Serbia. In 1946, the club was reestablished as FK Polet on the initiative of Borivoje Milenković and Božidar Stanković.
