The second season of reality singing television competition '' Idol Philippines'' premiered on June 25, 2022 on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z and TV5 aired until its season finale on September 18, 2022. It was the first season to not air on ABS-CBN after the network was ordered by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and Solicitor General Jose Calida to cease and desist its free-to-air television and radio broadcast operations on May 5, 2020, following the expiration of its congressional franchise. The season was hosted by Robi Domingo, who replaced Billy Crawford as host following his departure from the network. Regine Velasquez and Moira Dela Torre returned to the judging panel, being joined by new judges Gary Valenciano and Chito Miranda. Khimo Gumatay of Makati emerged as the winner, winning an exclusive recording contract from ABS-CBN Music, as well as a ₱1,000,000 cash prize. Robert Marion Eusebio Domingo (, born September 27, 1989), professionally known as Robi Domingo, is a Filipino VJ, actor, dancer, and host. Kapamilya Channel (stylized as Kapamilya channel) is a 24-hour Philippine pay television network formerly known as ABS-CBN Corporation, a company under Lopez Holdings Corporation owned by the López family. ''Masked Singer Pilipinas'' is a Philippine reality singing competition television series broadcast on TV5 which premiered on October 24, 2020. It is an adaptation of the ''Masked Singer'' franchise and features celebrities singing covers of famous songs while wearing head-to-toe costumes and face masks that conceal their identities. Hosted by Billy Crawford, the program features several panelists who are given various clues regarding the celebrities' identities to guess who they could be after each performance. At the end of each episode, the panelists and the audience vote for their favorite singer and the least popular is eliminated, taking off their mask to reveal their identity. The second season of the Philippine television series '' Masked Singer Pilipinas'' premiered on TV5 on March 19 to June 18, 2022, replacing '' Sing Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition''.
