Bajram Curri (town)
Bajram Curri (), formerly known as Kolgecaj, is a town and administrative unit in the municipality of Tropojë, northeastern Albania, within the historical ethnographic region of the Gjakova Highlands. The town is located in a remote and mountainous region of the Albanian Alps, within the Valbonë Valley, and close to the border with Kosovo. It is named after Bajram Curri, a national hero who fought for ethnic Albanians, first against the Ottoman Empire and later against the Albanian government. The 2023–24 Kategoria e Dytë is the 52nd official season of the Albanian football third division since its establishment. There are 23 teams competing this season, split in 2 groups. The winners of the groups will play the league's final against each other and will also gain promotion to the 2024–25 Kategoria e Parë. Teams ranked from the 2nd to the 5th position will qualify to the play-off round where the winners will play against the 9th and 10th ranked teams in the 2023–24 Kategoria e Parë. Gerhard Nik Progni (born 6 November 1986) is an Albanian professional footballer plays as a midfielder for SC Gjilani. A product of FK Partizani Tirana, Progni has played for several clubs in Albania, including Skënderbeu, whom he won one Albanian Superliga title.
