Jack & Jill School is composed of preschool and elementary institutions located in Homesite and City Heights in Bacolod, the capital of Negros Occidental province of the Philippines. Informally referred to by its acronym "JJS", it is a private, non-sectarian, educational institution with an enrollment of more than 600 pupils. Likoni Ferry
The Likoni Ferry is a ferry service across the Kilindini Harbour, serving the Kenyan city of Mombasa between the Mombasa island side and the mainland suburb of Likoni. Two - four double-ended ferries alternate across the harbour, carrying both road and foot traffic. The ferries are operated by the Kenya Ferry Services (KFS), and is the only remaining ferry service by KFS. The Likoni ferry started operating in 1937. Passenger services are free while vehicles, tuktuks, motorcycles and trucks have to pay a ferry toll. The Mombasa side terminal of the Likoni line is located at the southern end of the Mombasa Island. The distance of the line is about 500 metres. Klippel–Feil Syndrome
Klippel–Feil syndrome (KFS), also known as cervical vertebral fusion syndrome, is a rare congenital condition characterized by the abnormal fusion of any two of the seven bones in the neck (cervical vertebrae). It results in a limited ability to move the neck and shortness of the neck, resulting in the appearance of a low hairline. The syndrome is difficult to diagnose, as it occurs in a group of patients affected with many different abnormalities who can only be unified by the presence of fused or segmental cervical vertebrae. KFS is not always genetic and not always known about on the date of birth. The disease was initially reported in 1884 by Maurice Klippel and André Feil from France. Knives, Forks and Spoons Press is an independent publishing house based in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, United Kingdom. It was established by Alec Newman in April 2010. The press publishes avant-garde and experimental poetry, full collections, pamphlets and anthologies. A typical year's output is 24 titles, by new and established poets and artists. History The Knives Forks and Spoons Press emerged from The Other Room reading series – a bimonthly night of experimental poetry that takes place in Manchester. The press name was coined by Richard Barrett as a tribute to Kitchen sink realism. KFS started out as a publisher of poetry pamphlets in 2010, and it was shortlisted for the publisher award in the Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets in its first year. CloudStore
CloudStore (KFS, previously Kosmosfs) was Kosmix's C++ implementation of the Google File System. It parallels the Hadoop project, which is implemented in the Java programming language. CloudStore supports incremental scalability, replication, checksumming for data integrity, client side fail-over and access from C++, Java and Python. There is a FUSE module so that the file system can be mounted on Linux. In September 2007 Kosmix published Kosmosfs as open source. The last commit activity was in 2010. The Google Code page for Kosmosfs now points to the Quantcast File System on GitHub which is the successor to KFS. A former project on SourceForge used the name CloudStore in 2008.
