KDBI (AM)
KDBI (730 AM) is a radio station in Boise, Idaho. The station is currently owned by Kevin Terry, through licensee Radio Rancho, LLC. History The station signed on the air in 1955 as KYME at 740 kHz. In 1984 it became KTOX and moved to the current 730 kHz frequency. It became KBSU with a jazz format in 1992. However, in 2011, it was sold to Impact Radio Group for $165,000. The station was previously operated by Boise State University. On July 21, 2011, Impact changed the calls to KINF and adopted a conservative-leaning news-talk format. It simulcast the first two hours of '' America's Morning News'' with KINF-FM, as well as KINF-FM's entire weekend schedule. KZMG (102.7 FM) is a radio station licensed to Melba, Idaho, United States. KZMG broadcasts in HD Radio. History The KZMG call letters belonged to a top 40 radio station that later became KTIK-FM. Magic 93.1 was the mass appeal radio station for Boise in the 1990s and 2000. The musical product was more broad based than Boise's other top 40 stations. Magic 93.1 was known for rotating songs such as "Here in My Heart", " Nookie", " The Saga Begins" among other tunes that missed the national charts would peak high in the nightly most requested. The station is owned by Kevin Terry, through licensee Radio Rancho, LLC and broadcasts a regional Mexican format. History The station, originally on 99.1 MHz, first signed on in 1982 as KQKZ and broadcast a soft rock format. On November 1, 1984, the station changed its call sign to KJCY-FM to match that of its AM sister station (1240 AM, now KMHI), then to KLVJ-FM on June 1, 1989. In August 1992, Media Venture Management Inc., headed by Randolph George, sold KLVJ-FM and its AM counterpart KLVJ to William Konopnicki for $78,000. Homedale, Idaho
Homedale is a city in Owyhee County Idaho. The population was 2,633 at the time of the 2010 census. The town name was chosen by drawing names from a hat during a community picnic. Homedale is part of the Boise metropolitan area. It was, at one time, the terminus of a branch of the Oregon Short Line Railroad. History Homedale was first settled by Jacob Mussell in the late 19th century. In 1898 Jacob Mussell built a ferry boat to help settlers cross the Snake River making Homedale more accessible. By 1914 Homedale had a mayor, a council, a schoolhouse, and a railroad though it wouldn't be an official city until 1920. In 1914 Austrians were lured to Homedale and promised good farming ground. The Treasure Valley is a valley in the western United States, primarily in southwestern Idaho, where the Payette, Boise, Weiser, Malheur, Owyhee, and Burnt rivers drain into the Snake River. It includes all the lowland areas from Vale in rural eastern Oregon to Boise, and is the most populated area in Idaho.
