Gonzales is a city in Gonzales County, Texas, United States. It is the county seat. The population was 7,165 at the 2020 census. The "Come and Take It" flag in the War for Texas Independence from Mexico originated in Gonzales. Its economy is enhanced through lodging oil field workers from the nearby Eagle Ford Shale. It was the site of the first battle of the Texas Revolution. History Gonzales is one of the earliest Anglo-American settlements in Texas, the first west of the Colorado River. Bee Cave is a city located in Travis County, Texas, United States. Its population was 9,144 as of the 2020 census. History Bee Cave was named by early settlers for a large cave of wild bees found near the site. A post office opened there under the name Bee Caves in 1870. The city was incorporated in 1987. Air1 is an American Christian radio network. Owned by the Educational Media Foundation (EMF), it primarily broadcasts contemporary worship music, and is a sister to the EMF's K-Love network.
