KCMO (710 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Kansas City, Missouri. Owned by Cumulus Media, the station airs a news/talk radio format. The studios and offices are located in Overland Park, Kansas. KCMO is also heard on FM translator 103.7 MHz K279BI and on the digital subchannel of co-owned 101.1 KCFX- HD2. The transmitter is off North Eastern Road, near Interstate 435, on Kansas City's Northeast side. It first began broadcasting in 1962 under the callsign (radio), call sign KMBC-FM. The station is owned by Audacy, Inc. Its transmitter is located in east Kansas City, and studios are located in Mission, Kansas. History Early years 99.7 FM's historic roots go back to an experimental station, W9XER, which began as an "Apex (radio band), Apex" high-frequency station owned by the Midland Broadcasting Company in Kansas City. Harrisonville is a town in Cass County, Missouri, Cass County, Missouri, United States. The population was 10,121 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. It is the county seat of Cass County. Collective Soul is an American rock band originally from Stockbridge, Georgia. Now based in Atlanta, the group consists of lead vocalist Ed Roland, rhythm guitarist Dean Roland, bassist Will Turpin, drummer Johnny Rabb, and lead guitarist Jesse Triplett. Formed in 1992, the original lineup consisted of the Roland brothers, Turpin, guitarist Ross Childress, and drummer Shane Evans. Collective Soul released their ''Hints, Allegations, and Things Left Unsaid'' album on the independent label Rising Storm Records in 1993. Scorpions are a German rock band formed in Hanover in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock, heavy metal and glam metal to soft rock. The lineup from 1978 to 1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass), and Herman Rarebell (drums).
