KAUT-TV (channel 43) is an independent television station in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States. It is owned by Nexstar Media Group alongside NBC affiliate KFOR-TV (channel 4). Both stations share studios in Oklahoma City's McCourry Heights section, while KAUT-TV's transmitter is located on the city's northeast side. History Early history The UHF channel 43 allocation in Oklahoma City was originally assigned to Christian Broadcasting of Oklahoma Inc. – a religious nonprofit corporation headed by George G. Teague, a local evangelist and co-founder of the Capitol Hill Assembly of God – which filed an application with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for a license and construction permit on April 4, 1977, proposing to sign on a non-commercial religious television station on the frequency. Helena Kaut-Howson
Helena Kaut-Howson is a British theatre director. Early life and education Helena Kaut-Howson was born (as Helena Kaut) in 1940 in Lviv, which was then in Poland. She grew up in Wrocław, Poland. Her training as a director was first at the Polish State Theatre School and then at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She is Jewish. Career Kaut-Howson originally worked as an actor in the 1950s, at the Jewish Theatre, Warsaw. She had to leave Poland after marrying a British man who was the son of an admiral working for NATO, and came to the United Kingdom then. She worked in the 1960s in direction at the Royal Court Theatre. She has directed in Israel at the Jerusalem Community Theatre, the Habima Theatre and Cameri Theater. Other work as director outside the UK includes at Monument-National in Canada and the Gate Theatre in Dublin. Ellis Kaut
Elisabeth "Ellis" Kaut (17 November 1920 – 24 September 2015) was a German author of children's literature, best known for her creation of Pumuckl, a kobold appearing in radio plays and TV series. She also published novellas and some illustrated books. Life Ellis Kaut was born in Stuttgart. Her parents moved to Munich with her when she was two years old. In 1938, aged 18, Ellis Kaut was elected the first official Münchner Kindl for that year. In 1939 she married author Kurt Preis, continuing to live in Munich. They had a daughter, Ursula, born in March 1945. Ellis Kaut received actor's training, then studied sculpting. From 1948 she was a freelance author and also had some speaking parts in radio plays in the 1950s and 1960s. She supervised children's programmes at Bayerischer Rundfunk, but was also active as a painter and photographer. In a 2010 interview, Ellis Kaut said that writing was always hard work for her. Martin Kaut
Martin Kaut (born October 2, 1999) is a Czech professional ice hockey forward with the San Jose Barracuda in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract as a prospect to the San Jose Sharks in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the first round, 16th overall, in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Czech Republic Kaut played junior hockey with youth club, HC Žďár nad Sázavou, through to the under-16 level. As a natural Winger, Kaut showed initial potential for a nose to the net by scoring the most goals on the Czech U16 team with 37 in the 2014–15 season. Signed to professional club, HC Dynamo Pardubice, Kaut played in their junior U18 and U20 teams, before making his professional debut as a 17-year old in the Czech Extraliga during the 2016–17 season.
