KATA-CD
KATA-CD was a Class A digital television station affiliated with Shop LC, owned and operated by London Broadcasting, LLC. It broadcast on Channel 50 and was licensed to Mesquite, Texas. KATA was available through Charter Communications (Channel 93) and Verizon Fios (Channel 24). KHPK-LD, virtual channel 28 (VHF digital channel 10), is a low-powered BeIN Sports Xtra- affiliated television station licensed to DeSoto, Texas, United States and serving the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. The station is owned by HC2 Holdings. It is not available on Charter Spectrum or FiOS from Frontier at this time. History The station began as an independent station with the callsign K69BS on channel 69, then in 2003, it has moved its broadcasts to channel 28 and was rebranded as K28HU. In less than a month, the call letters were once again changed to KHPK named after the three principal owners (Investors) Ric Halden, Marc Pace, and Ron Knott) and it became an Urban America Television network affiliate, because these three owners were shareholders in Urban (UATV). Canal 6 (alternately known as Multimedios Televisión) is a network of Spanish language television stations primarily concentrated in northeastern Mexico and the southwestern United States. The system is part of Grupo Multimedios. The flagship station of Multimedios is XHAW-TDT located in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Programming features locally produced news, sports, children's shows and general mass appeal variety programming. Soul of the South Television (sometimes referred to as SSN TV) is an African-American-focused regional broadcast network owned by SSN Media Group, LP. It primarily broadcasts in the Southern United States and secondarily in other high African-American populated cities in the north. SSN TV uses the C.A.S.H. (Central Automated Satellite Hub) system, and a computer server “cloud-based system” originally constructed by the defunct Equity Broadcasting to send its feed to its affiliated stations. It sought affiliations from full–power television stations, Class A TV, low–power TV stations, digital subchannels and cable outlets. 480i is the video mode used for standard-definition digital television in the Caribbean, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Laos, Western Sahara, and most of the Americas (with the exception of Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay). The ''480'' identifies a vertical resolution of 480 lines, and the ''i'' identifies it as an interlaced resolution. Peace TV is a non-profit Emirati satellite television, satellite television network that broadcasts free-to-air programming. It is one of the world's largest religious satellite television networks. On 21 January 2006, Zakir Naik created the network, which is based in Dubai. The network has broadcast all over the world. Naik regards the network as a 'edutainment' channel. Peace TV was also available free-to-air on the LiveStation satellite television provider.
