KAMT (105.1 FM; "Blazin 105") is a Tejano formatted radio station serving Channing, Texas, and Amarillo, Texas. The station is owned by Maria Ceniceros, through licensee Viva Media, LLC. Its transmitter is located south of Channing. at 10 p.m., the station was playing country music while stunting. On April 28, 2017, the station was re-branded Blazin 105, Tejano and More. Less than 60 days later, ownership made the decision to switch back to Regional Mexican, leaving staff unaware and unpaid. Previous formats included Spanish Pop and Regional Mexican. Channing, Texas
Channing is a city in Hartley County, Texas, in the United States. It is the county seat of Hartley County. As of the 2020 United States census, the city's population was 281. History Channing was founded in 1888 by George Channing Rivers, a paymaster for the Fort Worth and Denver City Railway. The settlement was originally called Rivers. Since the name Rivers duplicated another community in Texas, the name was changed to Channing later that year. Channing developed directly from its association with the XIT Ranch, a property that once included land in as many as 10 counties in the Texas Panhandle. In 1891, Willis D. Twitchell platted Channing's business district. At that time, Channing was the headquarters of the XIT. KBEX (96.1 FM broadcasting, FM) was a radio station licensed to Dalhart, Texas, United States, it served the Amarillo metropolitan area. The station was owned by Maria Ceniceros, through licensee Viva Media, LLC. The current studio's were located at 501 South Polk #110 in Amarillo, Texas, and its transmitter was northeast of Channing, Texas. The station was assigned the KBEX call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on February 20, 2013. KBEX was the second station to use the KBEX call sign. Prior to 2005, KBEX was typically used as a stock call sign for List of fictional television stations, fictional TV and radio stations in film, radio and television productions until the sign-on of KUBJ, KBEX in Brenham, Texas (which held the calls until 2008) that year. KQFX (104.3 FM) is a radio station licensed to Borger, Texas, United States. The station serves the Amarillo, Texas, area. The station is currently owned by Viva Media LLC History KQFX began broadcasting as KBBB-FM in 1975 and changed to KDKQ on January 2, 1979. On December 1, 1984, the station changed its call sign to KDXR, then again on April 13, 1992, to the current KQFX. On April 15, 2017, with the announced sale of KQFX from Tejas Broadcasting to Viva Media, the station's ''Le Calente'' format moved to KZIP, and the station began stunting with a series of random formats.
