''K3 en het Ijsprinsessje'' (aka: ''K3 and the Little Ice Princess'') is a 2006 Flemish pre-teen adventure film written by Hans Bourlon and Gert Verhulst, directed by Indra Siera, and starring the women of the K3 girl group in a sequel to their 2004 film '' K3 en het Magisch Medaillon''. The sequel was shown on Zappelin, SBS 6, Ketnet, Kindernet and RTL Telekids. Plot King Flurkentijn (Peter Faber) invites the members of K3 (Karen Damen, Kristel Verbeke, Kathleen Aerts) to fairyland to sing for Princess Fleur (Laurien Poelemans) because he hopes that they can cheer her up. But as the princess has been cursed by an evil wizard (Urbanus), the trio are unable to. They decide to undo the curse, and learn that they need to find out the wizard's real name within 24 hours in order to cancel it. Katerine Avgoustakis (Greek: Κατερίνα Αυγουστάκη; born 16 September 1983) is a Greek-Belgian singer. She was the winner of the 2005 ''Star Academy'' show. Early life Avgoustakis was born in Maasmechelen, Belgium to a Greek father and a Flemish mother, who died in 2005, at 54 years old, after a long struggle with liver cancer. Little Red Riding Hood
"Little Red Riding Hood" is a European fairy tale about a young girl and a sly wolf. Its origins can be traced back to several pre-17th century European folk tales. The two best known versions were written by Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm. The story has been changed considerably in various retellings and subjected to numerous modern adaptations and readings. Other names for the story are: "Little Red Cap" or simply "Red Riding Hood". It is number 333 in the Aarne–Thompson classification system for folktales. Tale The story revolves around a girl called Little Red Riding Hood. In Perrault's versions of the tale, she is named after her red hooded cape/cloak that she wears. Hansel & Gretel
"Hansel and Gretel" (; german: Hänsel und Gretel ) is a German fairy tale collected by the German Brothers Grimm and published in 1812 in ''Grimm's Fairy Tales'' (KHM 15). It is also known as Little Step Brother and Little Step Sister. Hansel and Gretel are a brother and sister abandoned in a forest, where they fall into the hands of a witch who lives in a house made of gingerbread, cake, and candy. The cannibalistic witch intends to fatten Hansel before eventually eating him, but Gretel pushes the witch into her own oven and kills her. The two children then escape with their lives and return home with the witch's treasure. "Hansel and Gretel" is a tale of Aarne–Thompson–Uther type 327A. It also includes an episode of type 1121 ('Burning the Witch in Her Own Oven'). The story is set in medieval Germany. "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is a 19th-century German fairy tale that is today known widely across the Western world. The Brothers Grimm published it in 1812 in the first edition of their collection ''Grimms' Fairy Tales'' and numbered as Tale 53. The original German title was ''Sneewittchen'', a Low German form, but the first version gave the High German translation ''Schneeweißchen'', and the tale has become known in German by the mixed form ''Schneewittchen''. RTL Telekids
RTL Telekids is a Dutch pay television kids channel owned by RTL Nederland. In addition, RTL Telekids was broadcasting as a youth block on television channel RTL 8 during daytime till 31 December 2020. Like the rest of the Dutch RTL network, RTL Telekids is officially a Luxembourg channel that does not have to adhere to the Dutch media law. As Luxembourg has no real regulator, the channel is also not monitored. On December 31, 2020, RTL Telekids was closed as a block. The channel was then confirmed to close down on January 7, 2023. Kindernet
Kindernet (as Nickelodeon Kindernet from 2011 to 2013) was a Dutch television network that aired classic and modern children's television series from the 1980s onward. Two iterations of the network have been broadcast; the original lasted from 1988 to 2003, while a Nickelodeon-branded revival launched 2011 and ended in 2013. Ketnet is a Dutch-language public children's television channel in Belgium owned and operated by the VRT, Flemish public broadcaster. It broadcasts a mix of locally produced and imported productions on the VRT3 channel from 6am until 8pm. On 1 December 1997, BRTN 2 was replaced by Canvas and Ketnet. SBS6 is a Dutch free-to-cable commercial TV channel and is a part of Talpa TV, formerly known as SBS Broadcasting B.V. and now owned by Talpa Network. Other channels of the group in the Netherlands are Net5, Veronica, and SBS9. History SBS stands for Scandinavian Broadcasting System. When the SBS Broadcasting Group started expanding outside of Scandinavia in 1995, one of the first countries where they set up a channel was the Netherlands with SBS6. Zappelin
NPO Zappelin is a Dutch television program block for younger children that launched as Z@ppelin in September 2000. Before Z@ppelin, the programmes were scheduled on all three public channels (Nederland 1, Nederland 2 and Nederland 3). On 4 September 2005, Z@ppelin became a channel for children aged 2–6 years. The @ in the name of the channel was dropped on 10 September 2012. On 12 March 2013, the NPO announced that Zapp and Zappelin would be renamed as NPO Zapp and NPO Zappelin. The reason for this change is to make the channels and its programmes more recognisable. The rebranding completed on 19 August 2014. Together with NPO Zapp it broadcasts on NPO 3 during daytime.
