''K2'' is the 1995 debut album by Serbian pop duo K2. It was released in the beginning of 1995. The album contains 11 songs. The producers of all the songs on the album were sisters Kovač themselves, with Aleksandra Alexandra () is the feminine form of the given name Alexander (, ). Etymologically, the name is a compound of the Greek verb (; meaning 'to defend') and (; GEN , ; meaning 'man'). Thus it may be roughly translated as "defender of man" or "prot ... being the main and Kristina, a co-producer. The first single "Ajmo u život" became very popular in Serbia at the time (January 1995), and rapidly became their signature song and tune. K2 (Kovač Sisters Duo)
K2 was a Serbian pop, R&B, funk and dance duo, formed by sisters Aleksandra and Kristina Kovač in 1990. They worked with many producers worldwide and released five albums. After eight years, the band finished its work in 1998. Aleksandra and Kristina started their solo careers. Group history Beginning Aleksandra (born 1972) and Kristina (born 1974) are the daughters of Kornelije Kovač, a famous composer, and his wife Spomenka, who is a songwriter. They have younger sister, Anja (1988), who is an actress. Aleksandra and Kristina started playing piano when they were very young, so they knew that their job will be - music. Aleksandra Kovač
Aleksandra Kovač ( sr-cyr, Александра Ковач, ; born 1972) is a Serbian singer-songwriter, composer, and music producer. She is the eldest daughter of eminent composer Kornelije Kovač and the elder sister of singer Kristina Kovač. Alongside her sister Kristina, Kovač came to media prominence as a part of girl group K2, and then launched a successful solo career in 2001. She won a Best Adriatic Act Award at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2006. She was one of the judges on the second series of X Factor Adria Aleksandra Kovac holds a Master of Science degree in Composition for screen from Edinburgh University, as well as a BA in Music education from Belgrade University. Kristina Kovač ( sr-Cyrl, Кристина Ковач, ; born 10 November 1974) is a Serbian singer and composer. She became famous during the 1990s when she and her sister Aleksandra Kovač were a big attraction in Serbia and surrounding countries – R&B band K2. She got back in the spotlight in 2007, thanks to her hit-single "Kolena" which spent more than 15 weeks at No. 1 on Serbian pop-rock charts and also entered MTV Adria Top 20.
