K. V. Ranga Reddy
Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy (12 December 1890 – 24 July 1970) was an Indian statesman and activist served as the first Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1959 to 1962. He is a freedom fighter who fought the Telangana Rebellion against the Jagirdars. The Ranga Reddy District in Telangana is named after him. Career Political career The Ranga Reddy District in Telangana is named after him, for fighting the Razakars, who were against the idea of Hyderabad State to be integrated into independent India. He was a Minister of Revenue in 1959 in Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy's government. He became Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 1961 in Damodaram Sanjivayya's government. He participated in the Telangana Movement and is known for his forthright speech at Siddiambar Bazar which ended with his words ''Ghulam Ki Zindagi Se, Mauth Acchi''. Educationist K. V. Telangana Movement
The Telangana movement refers to a movement for the creation of a separate state, Telangana, from the pre-existing state of Andhra Pradesh in India. The new state corresponds to the Telugu-speaking portions of the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad, which were merged with Andhra Pradesh in 1956, leading to the Mulki Agitations. After decades of protests and agitations, the central government, under the United Progressive Alliance, decided to bifurcate the existing Andhra Pradesh state and on 2 June 2014, the Union Cabinet unilaterally cleared the bill for the creation of Telangana. Marri Chenna Reddy
Dr. Marri Channa Reddy (13 January 1919 – 2 December 1996) was an Indian politician active in several states. He was the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1978 to 1980 and from 1989 to 1990. He also served as the governor of Uttar Pradesh (1974–1977), governor of Punjab (1982–1983), governor of Rajasthan from February 1992 to May 1993, and governor of Tamil Nadu from 1993 until his death.
