Ranil Wickremesinghe ( si, රනිල් වික්‍රමසිංහ, ta, ரணில் விக்கிரமசிங்க; born 24 March 1949) is a Sri Lankan politician who is the current president of Sri Lanka since 21 July 2022. He also holds the position of Minister of Finance of Sri Lanka. He has been the leader of the United National Party since 1994. Vishtasp Kairshasp Choksy (born 22 December 1969) (known as ''V.K Choksy'') is a Sri Lankan Lawyer and advisor. He is a Civil Lawyer and appointed President's Counsel. Choksy belongs to an influential family and is the son of politician and lawyer K. N. Choksy P.C. His expertise in resolving legal disputes and issues for government organisations as well as private clients are remarkable. The United States Chamber of Commerce (USCC) is the largest lobbying group in the United States, representing over three million businesses and organizations. The group was founded in April 1912 out of local chambers of commerce at the urging of President William Howard Taft and his Secretary of Commerce and Labor Charles Nagel. 1988 Sri Lankan Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Sri Lanka on 19 December 1988. Nominations were accepted on 10 November 1988 and electoral participation was 55.32%. Prime Minister Ranasinghe Premadasa of the governing United National Party was elected, receiving 50.4% of all votes cast. Background During the 1988 election, Sri Lanka was in chaos. Queen's Counsel

Nariman Kairshasp Choksy
Nariman Kairshasp Choksy, was Ceylonese lawyer and judge. He was an acting Puisne Justice of the Supreme Court of Ceylon. Choksy was born in Ceylon to a Bombay Parsi family that had migrated to Colombo from Surat, North of Bombay, in the year 1885 to manage an established business house in the Coconut oil industry at Colombo. He became a proctor in 1917 and in 1923, qualifed as an advocate and established a lucrative practice on the civil law, first in the original courts and thereafter in the appelant courts. He was appointed a King's Counsel in 1947 and appointed as an acting Puisne Justice of the Supreme Court in 1951. Parsi
Parsis () or Parsees are an ethnoreligious group of the Indian subcontinent adhering to Zoroastrianism. They are descended from Persians who migrated to Medieval India during and after the Arab conquest of Iran (part of the early Muslim conquests) in order to preserve their Zoroastrian identity.
