K. B. Asante
Kwaku Baprui Asante (26 March 1924 – 22 January 2018) was a Ghanaian diplomat, government official and writer. Asante served as the Principal Secretary at the African Affairs Secretariat from 1960 to 1966. He then held several foreign service posts before being appointed a PNDC Secretary. He was Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom from 1991 to 1993. Asante was educated at Achimota School and later returned there to teach Mathematics. Early life and education Born in Accra, Gold Coast, on 26 March 1924, Asante attended the O'Reilly Educational Institute, Tudu, Government Junior Boys' School, Adabraka, and Government Senior Boys’ School, Kinbu, from 1927 to 1937. From 1938 to 1942, he attended Achimota College Upper Primary and Secondary School, where also he taught mathematics (1945–48). The Ga-Dangbe, Gã-Daŋbɛ, Ga-Dangme, or GaDangme are an ethnic group in Ghana, Togo and Benin. The Ga and Dangbe people are grouped respectively as part of the Ga–Dangme ethnolinguistic group.
