Jörg Leichtfried (born 18 June 1967 in Bruck an der Mur, Styria) is an Politics of Austria, Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria, Social Democratic Party who has been serving as a member of the National Council (Austria), National Council since the 2017 Austrian legislative election, 2017 elections. He previously served as Ministry of Transport (Austria), Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology in the Kern government, government of Chancellor of Austria, Chancellor Christian Kern from 2016 until 2017. The Ministry of Climate Action and Energy () is the government ministry of Austria in charge of traffic, research, innovation, energy, and environmental protection.
