József Varga (footballer, Born 1954)
József Varga (born 9 October 1954) is a retired Hungarian international football player. Career Born in Budapest, Varga spent most of his career with Budapesti Honvéd, where he was very popular and nicknamed "Kacsa" (duck). He also spent some time playing abroad, notably with for Turkish first division club Denizlispor. Varga finished his professional career at Újpest FC. He made his debut for the Hungarian national team in 1980, and got 31 caps and 1 goal until 1986. He was a participant at the 1982 and 1986 FIFA World Cups, where Hungary failed to progress from the group stage on both occasions. József Varga (; born 6 June 1988) is a Hungarian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder. Club career Early years Varga was seven years old when he started playing football, influenced by his father. Playing primarily as a striker he made his breakthrough in 2000. In the 2007–08 season he started in the Debrecen B team before moving on to play for their A team. Debrecen Varga's first trophy was won against Budapest Honvéd FC, Budapest Honvéd by 4–1 on aggregate. The first leg finished 1–1 in the Bozsik Stadion. József Varga (born 27 June 1962) is a Hungarian politician of Romani ethnicity, member of the National Assembly (MP) from Budapest Regional List between 2010 and 2014. He was also MP from the National List of Fidesz between 2002 and 2010, and from 2014 to 2018. He served as a member of the Committee on Human Rights, Minority, Civic and Religious Affairs from 2002 to 2010. He was appointed Vice Chairman of Committee on Employment and Labour on 14 May 2010, holding the position until 5 May 2014. He was a member of the Committee on Legal Affairs between 2014 and 2018. Varga was a prominent politician in Ferencváros (9th district of Budapest) until 2019, described as "gray eminence" behind mayor János Bácskai since 2010. József F. Varga ( sr, Јожеф Ф. Варга, Jožef F. Varga; born 22 February 1959) is a former politician in Serbia from the country's Hungarian community. He was a member of the Assembly of Vojvodina from 1992 to 2004 and has held prominent municipal office in Bečej. Private career Varga is from Bačko Petrovo Selo in Bečej. He is a workplace safety engineer and has been president of the community's volunteer fire department for many years.
