Jyothi Meena is an Indian actress who has predominantly appeared in Tamil films. She is best remembered for her item numbers and supporting roles in ''Ullathai Allitha'' and '' Azhagana Naatkal''. Personal life Jyothi Meena was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She is the daughter of actress Jyothi Lakshmi and her father is a camera man. Her mother died at her residence in Chennai on 8 August 2016 due to blood cancer. Career She first appeared in the R. Sarathkumar's Tamil film, ''Ragasiya Police''. She has appeared in supporting roles, notably in ''Ullathai Allitha'', '' Azhagana Naatkal'' and '' Gopala Gopala''. She has also appeared in item numbers alongside Ajith Kumar, Prabhu ''Prabhu'' means master or the Prince in Sanskrit and many of the Indian languages; it is a name sometimes applied to God. Jyothi Lakshmi
Jyothi Lakshmi (2 November 1948 – 9 August 2016) was an Indian actress who appeared in more than 130 movies. In the early 1970s, she was well noted for her leading roles and songs in movies. She also acted in female-oriented movies and was a trained dancer. She predominantly worked in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam movies. In the early 1980s, her popularity gradually declined due to her sister Jayamalini's entry into the movie industry. Her debut was in the film ''Vanambadi'' in 1963 as a dancer in the song 'Yaaradi Vanthaar'. She is best remembered for her supporting roles in Thedi Vandha Mapillai and Periya Edathu Penn. Her daughter Jyothi Meena is also an actress. ''Aruva Velu'' is a 1996 Tamil language action drama film directed by P. S. Bharathi Kannan. The film stars Nassar and Urvashi. The film, produced by K. V.
