Juti Ravenna
Juti Ravenna (December 26, 1897 – April 29, 1972) was an Italian painter. Biography Ravenna's artistic life began in 1914, with the making of some drawings. During World War I, he was at battlefront and produced some sketches, then collected and published in the autobiography "Una vita per la pittura".Goldin M., "Juti Ravenna, dipinti 1920-1950, catalogo mostra Ca' dei Carraresi", 1992 Thanks to a visit to Florence, during a permit, he came in contact with artistic environment and in particular with works by Ardengo Soffici which showed him the Impressionism painting. Post-Impressionism (also spelled Postimpressionism) was a predominantly French art movement that developed roughly between 1886 and 1905, from the last Impressionist exhibition to the birth of Fauvism. Virgilio Guidi (April 4, 1891 – January 7, 1984) was an Italian artist and writer. He was born in Rome into an artistic family. His father was a sculptor.Cowling & Mundy 1990, p. 124. Guidi received his early training at the Scuola Libera di Pittura in Rome and in 1908 began working as a restorer and decorator.Castello di Mesola 1987, p. 102. He continued his studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome, where Armando Spadini influenced him. Giovanni Comisso
Giovanni Comisso (3 October 1895 – 21 January 1969) was an important Italian writer of the twentieth century, appreciated by Eugenio Montale, Umberto Saba, Gianfranco Contini and many others. Life Comisso was born in Treviso, where, during his adolescence, he met and got to know the sculptor Arturo Martini who introduced him to the writings of Arthur Rimbaud and Friedrich Nietzsche. In 1915, he enlisted in the telegraph Corps of Engineers and participated in the Great War. Together with Gabriele d’Annunzio, he took part in the Fiume enterprise (1919–1920), an experience that would be fundamental to his development as a writer. The following years were years of travel, both along the Adriatic aboard a sailing ship with the sailors of Chioggia, and in Europe and North Africa on behalf of a number of important newspapers. Palazzo Carminati ("Carminati Palace") is the palace facing the Milan Cathedral (i.e., the "Duomo") on the West side of Piazza del Duomo, the central plaza of Milan, Italy. The palace is named after a famous Cafè, the Carminati. It was built in the late 1860s as private home of a well known Milanese silver manufacturer, Giacomo Cesati. In the twentieth century, the palace became a landmark of Milan (and a symbol of the city's economic growth) because of the large neon advertising signs that were affixed to its façade, with an overall visual effect that has been compared to that of New York City's Broadway and Times Square or London's Piccadilly Circus.
