Jurong, Jiangsu
Jurong () is a county-level city under the administration of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province, China. In 129 BC, the then Prince of Changsha Liu Fa's son, Dang became the Marquis of Jurong. As he died soon, the lands enfeoffed to him became Jurong county in the next year. Jurong was under the jurisdiction of Nanjing historically, but it was annexed to the Prefecture of Zhenjiang in 1950, then Zhenjiang in 1983. The county was converted into a county-level city in 1995. The Jurong railway station was a freight railway station that was co-owned by JTC Corporation, one of Singapore's primary industry-based developers, and Keretapi Tanah Melayu (the KTM), the national railroad company of Malaysia. Nanjing–Hangzhou High-speed Railway
The Nanjing–Hangzhou passenger railway () is a high-speed rail (maximum speed 350 km/h), passenger-dedicated line in eastern China between Nanjing (shorthand name ) and Hangzhou, the capitals of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, respectively. During the planning and early construction stage, the railway was originally referred to as the Nanjing–Hangzhou intercity railway or Ninghang intercity railway (). Recent publications don't use the "intercity" designation anymore, perhaps in recognition of the fact that the railway will be used not only by regional trains but long-distance trains as well. Jurong Economic Development Zone
Jurong () is a major geographical region located at the south-westernmost point of the West Region of Singapore. Although mostly vaguely defined, the region's extent roughly covers the planning areas of Jurong East, Jurong West, Boon Lay, and Pioneer, along with Jurong Island in the Western Islands cluster and the southernmost portions of the Western Water Catchment. Should it be described at its greatest historical extent, the region can also include present-day Bukit Batok and Tuas.
