Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005 was the third edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest for young singers aged 8 to 15. On 26 November 2005, the contest was broadcast live from the Ethias Arena in Hasselt, Belgium, in a joint effort by the national broadcasters Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep (VRT) and Radio télévision belge de la communauté française (RTBF), in co-operation with the European Broadcasting Union. Marcel Vanthilt and Maureen Louys hosted the event. The show was not only broadcast live in the competing countries, it was also available on satellite worldwide and the Australian television channel SBS who acquired the rights to broadcast the show one month later. The theme of the show was ''Let's Get Loud'', standing for the new generation on the stage. 2015 European Championship (darts)
The 2015 Unibet European Championship was the eighth edition of the Professional Darts Corporation tournament, the European Championship, which saw the top European players compete against the highest ranked players from the PDC Order of Merit. The tournament took place from 30 October–1 November 2015 at the Ethias Arena in Hasselt, Belgium. Park H in Hasselt, Belgium is one of the biggest event complexes in the Benelux. The first halls, the Grenslandhallen, were built in 1983. In 2002 one of the first halls has been transformed into a congress theatre for musicals, concerts, ... up to 5000 people. Ethias Arena
The Trixxo Arena is the largest multipurpose arena in Hasselt, Limburg, Belgium used for music concerts, sports (tennis, indoor cycling, jumping, etc.) and other large events. It opened in September 2004 at a total construction cost of €11.7million. The arena complex can hold up to around 21,000 people, with the Main Hall holding a maximum of 18,000.
