Jundiaí Airport
Comte. Rolim Adolfo Amaro State Airport is the airport serving Jundiaí, Brazil. It is named after Rolim Adolfo Amaro (1942–2001), founder and former president of LATAM Brasil formerly known as TAM Airlines. It is operated by Rede Voa. History The airport was commissioned in 1942 and it is dedicated to general aviation. In 2009 the airport was ranked 10th in terms of aircraft operations in Brazil, and in 2010 it remained amongst the busiest airports in the country due to its general aviation traffic, including executive aviation and aircraft maintenance facilities. On 15 March 2017 Voa São Paulo was granted by the government of the State of São Paulo the concession to operate this facility, previously operated by DAESP. DAESP - Departamento Aeroviário do Estado de São Paulo ( en, Airways Department of São Paulo State) was the São Paulo state (in Brazil) aviation department. DAESP was part of the ''Secretaria de Transportes do Governo do Estado de São Paulo'' ( en, Transportation Secretariat of the State of São Paulo), and was responsible for the management of 21 public airports within the state, in accordance to directives from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC). It was created in 1963 as ''Diretoria de Aeroportos'' ( en, Directorate of Airports) of the ''Secretaria de Viação e Obras Públicas'' ( en, Public Works and Transit Secretariat). DAFIF () or the ''Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File'' is a comprehensive database of up-to-date aeronautical data, including information on airports, airways, airspaces, navigation data, and other facts relevant to flying in the entire world, managed by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) of the United States. Withdrawal of public access DAFIF was publicly available until October 2006 through the Internet; however, it was closed to public access because "increased numbers of foreign source providers are claiming intellectual property rights or are forewarning NGA that they intend to copyright their source". Currently, only federal and state government agencies, authorized government contractors, and Department of Defense customers are able to access the DAFIF data. São Paulo–Congonhas Airport
São Paulo/Congonhas–Deputado Freitas Nobre Airport is one of the four commercial airports serving São Paulo, Brazil. The airport is named after the neighborhood where it is located, called Vila Congonhas, property of the descendants of Lucas Antônio Monteiro de Barros (1767–1851), Viscount of Congonhas do Campo, first president of the Province of São Paulo after the independence of Brazil in 1822, during the Empire. In turn, the Viscount's domain was named after the plural of a shrub known in Brazil as ''congonha-do-campo'' (''Luxemburgia polyandra'', of the Ochnaceae family). Since June 19, 2017, it is officially named after Deputy Freitas Nobre. The name Congonhas, however, remains mostly used. It is owned by the City of São Paulo. Santos Dumont Airport is the second major airport serving Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is named after the Brazilian aviation pioneer Alberto Santos Dumont (1873–1932). It is operated by Infraero. Santos Dumont has slot restrictions operating with a maximum of 19 operations/hour, being one of the five airports with such restrictions in Brazil. Afonso Pena International Airport
Afonso Pena International Airport is the main airport serving Curitiba, Brazil, located in the adjoining municipality of São José dos Pinhais. It is named after Afonso Pena (1847–1909), the 6th President of Brazil. It is operated by CCR. Azul Conecta, formerly known as TwoFlex Aviação Inteligente, is a domestic and regional airline based in Jundiaí, Brazil, established in 2013. History Azul Conecta was formed as TwoFlex on April 1, 2013 as a result of the merger of Two Táxi Aéreo and Flex Aero Táxi Aéreo. Between August 2016 and June 2019, TwoFlex operated wet lease flights on behalf of Voe Minas Gerais, a State-run project that connected cities within the State of Minas Gerais to the State capital Belo Horizonte. TwoFlex was the only operator for the duration of this program, which was discontinued on June 30, 2019. In November 2017, Twoflex was granted rights to operate regular feeder passenger flights connecting smaller locations to main cities in all Brazilian territory. Rede Voa, previously known as Voa São Paulo or Voa-SP in short, is a private Brazilian airports administration consortium, responsible for sixteen Brazilian regional and municipal airports administrative operations.
