Evaristo Sourdis Juliao (27 March 1905 – 22 September 1970) was a lawyer and diplomat who served as 23rd Comptroller General of Colombia, from 1967–69, the sixth Permanent Representative of Colombia to the United Nations in 1953, and as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia first in 1950 and again from 1953–56. As a politician, he rose from local politics starting as Deputy to the Departmental Assembly of Atlántico, Councilman of Barranquilla, and Secretary of Government of Atlántico, and moving to the national stage first as Member of the Chamber of Representatives of Colombia for Atlántico, and then as Senator of Colombia. Ronald Odair de Oliveira Julião (born 16 June 1985) is a Brazilian track and field athlete who competes in the shot put and discus throw. He is a member of BM&F Bovespa's track club and is trained by João Paulo Alves da Cunha. He is the Brazilian record holder in the discus throw (65.55 m). He is the second highest ranked South American discus thrower after Jorge Balliengo and has won straight titles at the Brazil championships since 2005. Julião is a five-time medallist in the discus at the South American Championships in Athletics and won the gold medal in the event in 2011 with a Championship record. Francisco Julião Arruda de Paula (1915-1999) was a Brazilian lawyer, politician and writer. He was born in Recife to a family of landowners. After studying law at university, he dedicated himself to defending peasants who had been expelled from their lands. Carlos Julião (1740, Turin -1811, Lisbon) was a Luso-Italian artist and engineer of the Portuguese colonial army, working as a fortress inspector during the second half of the 18th century and beginning of the 19th century. He is more known for his watercolor drawings, portraying the different racial and social types inhabiting the Portuguese empire, as well as the period and methods of mining in Brazil.
