Julio César Ribas Vlacovich (born January 8, 1957) is a Uruguayan association football manager and former footballer. He currently manages the Gibraltar national team. Career as manager Ribas was appointed the manager of Primera Division Uruguaya side Peñarol in January 2009. Following the Oman national football team's defeat against Japan in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the Omani Football Association sacked Ribas, due to the result and the performance of the team in that match. Rivera () is the capital of Rivera Department of Uruguay. The border with Brazil joins it with the Brazilian city of Santana do Livramento, which is only a street away from it, at the north end of Route 5. Liverpool Fútbol Club is a Uruguayan football club based in Montevideo. The team was first promoted to the Primera División in 1919 and plays its home games at Estadio Belvedere. History The club has its roots in the student team from the Catholic Capuchin school in Nuevo París, which began playing in 1908. The club took on the name Liverpool as there were many cultural links between the two areas; the majority of coal ships arriving in Montevideo came from the English port. Sebastián César Helios Ribas Barbato (born 11 March 1988) is an Uruguayan footballer who plays as a forward for Montevideo City. Career Early career Born in Montevideo, Ribas began made his debuts as a senior with Juventud de Las Piedras, appearing in 17 matches and scoring six goals during his first season. Internazionale Ribas signed with Inter Milan for an undisclosed fee in the 2006 summer. He made his first appearance for the club in the quarter final of Coppa Italia in the second leg in a 2–0 win over Empoli on 17 January 2007. Ribas scored his first domestic goal for Inter Milan against Atalanta in the Coppa Italia. With his first team opportunities limited, he joined Spezia, also appearing rarely.
