Julio Avelino Comesaña López (born 10 March 1948) is a former Uruguayan professional football manager and former football player. Playing career Club Comesaña played for 7 clubs during his career as a footballer: Racing Montevideo (1967–1968) in Uruguay; Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata (1969–1970), Kimberley (1971), and Ferro Carril Oeste (1974) in Argentina; Millonarios (1972–1973), Atlético Junior (1973, and 1975–1979), and Independiente Medellín (1980–1981) in Colombia. Deportivo Independiente Medellín, also known as Independiente Medellín or DIM, is a Colombian professional football club based in Medellín that currently plays in the Categoría Primera A. Patriotas Boyacá, also known as Patriotas, is a professional Colombian football team based in Tunja, that currently plays in the Categoría Primera B. They play their home games at the La Independencia stadium. History Patriotas was founded in 2003 by the then-governor of Boyacá Miguel Ángel Bermúdez, together with the then Coldeportes chairman and the owners of hardware business G&J. Club Atlético River Plate is a Uruguayan football club based in Montevideo. The club currently plays in the Primera División, the top level of the Uruguayan football league system. This is not the same River Plate F.C. that won the Uruguayan league in the early 20th century. History River Plate de Montevideo is the result of the merger of former clubs Olimpia and Capurro. Institución Atlética Sud América, usually known as Sud América or just IASA, is a football club from Montevideo. They currently play in the Uruguayan Segunda Division. History Sud América has won the Uruguayan 2nd Division on 7 occasions, this is a national record they share with Fénix.
