Julian Casablancas
Julian Fernando Casablancas (born August 23, 1978) is an American singer, musician and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of Rock music, rock band The Strokes, with whom he has released six studio albums since their founding in 1998. Casablancas released a solo album, ''Phrazes for the Young'', in 2009. That same year, he founded the Independent record label, independent record label Cult Records, which has represented artists such as The Growlers, Rey Pila and Karen O. Since 2013, he has been the frontman of experimental rock band The Voidz. The band has released two albums, ''Tyranny (The Voidz album), Tyranny'' (2014) and ''Virtue (The Voidz album), Virtue'' (2018). John Casablancas (December 12, 1942 – July 20, 2013) was an American modeling agent and scout who founded Elite Model Management. Casablancas is remembered for his development of the supermodel concept. He is the father of The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas. He was the youngest of three children of Fernando and Antonia Casablancas, a banker and former model, respectively, and grandson of Catalan textile machinery inventor Fernando Casablancas Planell. Karen Lee Orzolek (born November 22, 1978) is a South Korean-born American singer, musician, and songwriter. She is the lead vocalist for the indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Institut Le Rosey (), commonly referred to as Le Rosey or simply Rosey, is a private boarding school in Rolle, Switzerland.
