Julia Twardowska (born 4 May 1995 in Środa Wielkopolska) is a Polish volleyball player. She is part of the Poland women's national volleyball team. She participated in the 2018 Montreux Volley Masters, and 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. Budowlani Łódź (Klub Sportowy Budowlani Łódź) is a sports club based in Łódź, Poland. The club was founded in 1948. The club participates in many men's and women's sports. They are primarily known as a rugby club but also compete in volleyball, hockey, Judo and wrestling. They compete in the national men's Rugby Ekstraliga and have won it five times. Budowlani translates to English as 'builders', reflecting the club's origins. The club still often host road builders and other construction workers in the accommodation above the clubhouse. The club's main facility is located at Gornica Street north of Lodz city centre. There are two rugby pitches, changing rooms, a gym, a bar/restaurant and accommodation. There is also a hall at Brukowa street which houses an indoor hall for sports such as Judo, Volleyball and Wrestling. It is also used for indoor winter training. Środa Wielkopolska
Środa Wielkopolska (until 1968 ''Środa''; german: Schroda) is a town in western-central Poland, situated in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, about southeast of Poznań, with 22,001 inhabitants (2009). Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League was the inaugural edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League, a new annual international women's volleyball tournament contested by 16 national teams that replaced the former World Grand Prix in the international calendar. The competition was held between May and July 2018, and the final round took place in the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre, Nanjing, China. Six-time World Grand Prix winners, United States won the inaugural edition, defeating Turkey in five sets on the final. This was Turkey's first ever final on a senior world-level premier competition (World Championship, World Cup, Summer Olympic Games and the aforementioned Grand Prix).
