Jucu
Jucu ( hu, Zsuk; german: Schucken) is a commune in Cluj County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Gădălin (''Kötelend''), Juc-Herghelie (''Zsukiménes''), Jucu de Mijloc (''Nemeszsuk''), commune centre Jucu de Sus (''Felsőzsuk'') and Vișea (''Visa''). Economy In 2007, Nokia started a €200 million investment in Jucu, building a cellphone factory that had 4000 employees. It had begun production in 2008, but the factory closed in 2011. German car components manufacturer Bosch also opened a factory in Jucu and a centre dedicated for training students in the dual educational system. Population Buildings and administration High-power broadcasting station: 3 masts 165 metres tall. The station broadcasts on 909 kHz with 200 kW and 1152 kHz with 950 kW. Cluj County (; german: Kreis Klausenburg, hu, Kolozs megye) is a county ( județ) of Romania, in Transylvania. Its seat ( ro, Oraș reședință de județ) is Cluj-Napoca (german: Klausenburg). George Bariț
George Bariț (often rendered as George Barițiu, hu, Báricz György; 4 June 1812 – 2 May 1893), was an Romanians, ethnic Romanian Austria-Hungary, Austro-Hungarian historian, philologist, playwright, politician, businessman and journalist, the founder of the Romanian language press in Transylvania. Biography Born in Jucu de Jos, Kolozs County, Principality of Transylvania (1711–1867), Principality of Transylvania (today part of Jucu, Cluj County, Romania), he was the son of the Romanian Church United with Rome, Greek-Catholic, Greek-Catholic priest Ioan Pop Bariț, and of Ana Rafila. He attended school in Trascău (today Rimetea, Alba County), and then highschool in Blaj and Cluj-Napoca, Cluj.
