Juan José Rodríguez (born 1937)
Juan José Rodríguez Morales (born 23 June 1967) is a retired Costa Rican football (soccer), football player. Club career Nicknamed ''Peché'', the defender (football), defender played for a few teams, including A.D. San Carlos, San Carlos. International career Rodríguez made his debut at almost 35 years of age for Costa Rica national football team, Costa Rica in an April 2002 friendly match against Japan national football team, Japan and earned a total of 4 caps, scoring no goals. All games were 2002 World Cup warm-up games. He was a surprise inclusion in Costa Rica's 2002 FIFA World Cup squad, although he played no part in the tournament. He later denied allegations he was selected due to family relations with coach Alexandre Guimarães. His final international was a May 2002 friendly against Belgium national football team, Belgium. Grecia (canton)
Grecia is a canton in the Alajuela province of Costa Rica. Toponymy It is named after the country of Greece. History Grecia was created on 27 July 1867 by decree 20. Geography Grecia has an area of km² and a mean elevation of metres. The canton lies among ridges and valleys on the southwestern slope of Poas Volcano. One area was completely separated from the remainder of the canton by the Cordillera Central (Central Mountain Range). Known as Río Cuarto, this area lies on the Caribbean Plain, it was a district of Grecia, but became a canton in 2018. The Poás River and the Prendes River establish a large portion of the eastern border of the elongated canton, with the Sarchí River serving the same purpose on its western edge. Alexandre Guimarães
Alexandre Henrique Borges Guimarães (born 7 November 1959) is a Costa Rican football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current manager of América de Cali. Born and raised in Brazil, Guimarães played for the Costa Rica national team in the 1990 FIFA World Cup, and was also their manager in the 2002 and 2006 editions. He had successful runs with teams like Al Wasl in United Arab Emirates, Tianjin Teda in China and Deportivo Saprissa in Costa Rica. His son Celso Borges currently plays for Alajuelense. The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world.
